CASA for Hunt County is celebrating 20 years of existence!
CASA for Hunt County is one of 72 CASA programs in Texas, and was formed in the fall of 2002.
CASA for Hunt County is appointed to 100% of the cases involving children who are removed from their allegedly abusive/neglectful homes and placed into foster care. CASA for Hunt County’s mission is to provide screened and trained volunteers who will provide independent advocacy for these children, and provide valuable information to the judge.
Christmas Wish List Project kicks off in early November
Each year, children served by CASA for Hunt County make out their Christmas Wish List. CASA then solicits persons to purchase a child’s (or children’s) items. It makes a huge difference for a child placed in foster care to receive what his or she truly wants for Christmas.
